Iran ‘Astigmatic’ filming wraps up

Shooting stage for Iranian director Majid Reza Mostafavi’s ‘Astigmatic’ has come to an end, domestic media says.

With the last sequence of the film shot near a hospital in Iranian capital city of Tehran and after 38 sessions of filming, the production procedure of the movie went to the next stage.

The star-studded film has Iranian actresses such as Baran Kosari, Niki Karimi, Behnoush Bakhtiyari on the cast list.

‘Astigmatic’ is a social drama jointly written by Payam Karami and the director of the film. Some crew members of the film are as follows:

This is the second directorial experience of filmmaker Mostafavi with his first work ‘Unripe Pomegranates’ becoming the official selections of several international festivals.

A plot summary for Mostafavi's directorial debut reads, “Ensi and Zabih are a couple who are living" in the suburbs of Tehran... "The young couple are … expecting a baby, however, the destiny is not as they could predict!"
